Classic Pancakes or Waffles – Whole bag (500g)

You will need:

1 bag MW Pancake & Waffle Mix
2 large eggs
¼ melted butter or oil
3 cups milk or dairy alternative
2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, melted butter or oil, milk, and vanilla.
  2. Add the entire contents of MW Pancake & Waffle Mix and whisk until combined and smooth. The batter will be very runny and come together quickly, so resist the urge to over mix!
  3. Let the batter sit for 15 minutes to hydrate and set up.

Pancakes:

Preheat your non-stick pan until drops of water sizzle when sprinkled. Using a ½ cup scoop, add batter onto pan and gently spread. Cook until edges start to look dry, and bubbles appear on top. Flip and cook until golden brown.

Waffles:

Preheat your waffle iron. Using a ½ cup scoop, add batter into waffle iron and cook according to manufacturer’s instructions.



Banana Pancakes or Waffles

You will need:

1 cup MW Pancake & Waffle Mix
1 large egg
1 over-ripe mashed banana
2 Tbsp melted butter or oil
1 ½ cups milk or dairy alternative
2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, mashed banana, melted butter, milk, and vanilla.
  2. Add MW Pancake & Waffle Mix and whisk until combined and smooth. The batter will be very runny and come together quickly, so resist the urge to over mix!
  3. Let the batter sit for 15 minutes to hydrate and set up.

Pancakes:

1 large eggs
2 Tbsp melted butter or oil
1 ½ cups milk or dairy alternative
2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, protein powder, melted butter, milk, and vanilla.
  2. Add MW Pancake & Waffle Mix and whisk until combined and smooth. The batter will be very runny and come together quickly, so resist the urge to over mix!
  3. Let the batter sit for 15 minutes to hydrate and set up.

High Protein Chocolate-Chocolate Chip Pancakes or Waffles

You will need:

1 cup MW Pancake & Waffle Mix
1 scoop (28g) Chocolate Whey Isolate / Protein Powder

1 Tbsp sifted cocoa
2 large eggs
2 Tbsp melted butter or oil
1 ½ cups milk or dairy alternative
½ cup chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, protein powder, cocoa, melted butter, milk, and vanilla.
  2. Add MW Pancake & Waffle Mix and whisk until combined and smooth. The batter will be very runny and come together quickly, so resist the urge to over mix!
  3. Let the batter sit for 15 minutes to hydrate and set up.

Pancakes:

Preheat your non-stick pan until drops of water sizzle when sprinkled. Using a ½ cup scoop, add batter onto pan and gently spread. Sprinkle lightly with chocolate chips and lightly press down into the batter. Cook until edges start to look dry, and bubbles appear on top. Flip and cook until golden brown.

Waffles:

Preheat your waffle iron. Using a ¼ cup scoop, add batter into waffle iron, sprinkle lightly with chocolate chips and top with an additional ¼ cup scoop of batter. Cook according to manufacturer’s instructions.
*Note: For waffles, set the temperature slightly lower so that chocolate chips do not
burn.


Vegan High Protein Pancakes or Waffles

You will need:

1 cup MW Pancake & Waffle Mix
1 scoop (28g) Protein Powder (vanilla, unflavored, or chocolate)
2 Tbsp oil
1 ½ cups dairy alternative “milk” (We love Califia Brand Oat milk) 

2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together oil, dairy alternative milk, and vanilla.
  2. Add MW Pancake & Waffle Mix and whisk until combined and smooth. The batter will be very runny and come together quickly, so resist the urge to over mix!
  3. Let the batter sit for 15 minutes to hydrate and set up.

*Note: Add a mashed banana and 1 Tbsp nut butter for an extra kick of flavour!


Camping Pancakes

You will need:

1 cup MW Pancake & Waffle Mix
2 Tbsp oil
1 ½ cups milk
2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Directions:

  1. Add oil, milk, and vanilla to a shaker bottle and shake vigorously.
  2. Add MW Pancake & Waffle Mix and shake until combined and smooth. The batter will be very runny and come together quickly.
  3. Let the batter sit for 15 minutes to hydrate and set up.

Individual Serving Pancakes or Waffles

You will need:

¼ level cup plus 1 tsp MW Pancake & Waffle Mix
1 tsp oil
½ cup milk
Splash of vanilla extract (optional)

Directions:

  1. Add oil, milk, and vanilla to a shaker bottle and shake vigorously.
  2. Add MW Pancake & Waffle Mix and shake until combined and smooth. The batter will be very runny and come together quickly.
  3. Let the batter sit for 15 minutes to hydrate and set up while your pan preheats.
  4. Preheat your non-stick pan until drops of water sizzle when sprinkled.
  5. Using a ½ cup scoop, add batter onto pan and gently spread. 
  6. Cook until edges start to look dry, and bubbles appear on top.
  7. Flip and cook until golden brown.


Try these flavour combinations with your 

MW Pancake & Waffle Mix!

- Add 1 mashed over-ripe banana + 2 tsp cinnamon and top with salted caramel

- Add 1 mashed over-ripe banana + ½ cup mini chocolate chips

- Add 1 mashed over-ripe banana + 1 Tbsp peanut butter powder or peanut butter – best with a dollop of strawberry jam

- Add 1 grated granny smith apple + 2 tsp cinnamon topped with whipped cream

- Feeling nutty?! Pan toast pecans and serve overtop with maple syrup, whipped cream and a sprinkle of brown sugar

- Add 1 Tbsp fresh lemon zest and replace vanilla with Lemon LorAnn Baking Emulsion – serve with lemon curd and fresh blueberries with whipped cream!


Savory Waffles for the win

- Add 1 tsp fresh thyme, 2 tsp fresh chives for the best Benedict’s base

- Add 1 tsp garam marsala to waffle mix and serve with Butter Chicken

- Add ¼ sauteed onions to batter along with 1 clove minced garlic and serve with garlic butter alongside Caesar Salad or steak


Tips & Tricks!

- Replace milk with Buttermilk for extra rich waffles or a thinner pancake

- Add an extra egg for extra rich pancakes or waffles

- Replace milk with water, but don’t skip the oil or vanilla!

- For the perfect short-stack, use a Volrath 3oz scoop (beige handle)

- For the perfect size waffle, use a Volrath 4 oz scoop (grey handle)

- Mini pancakes are best! Add the batter to a squeeze bottle and make the best mini-cakes or pancake art!

- Spray your scoop with cooking spray for easy release

- For quick clean-up, always rinse your gluten free mixing bowls
